4. Prepare a makeup bag and a bride's emergency kit that includes, extra
pantyhose, clear nail polish for runs, tissue, aspirin, spot remover,
hemming tape, band-aids, a sewing kit with safety pins, etc. The groom's
kit can include: mouthwash, breath mints, razor, cologne, brush and
comb, etc.
5. Don't forget to pack a pair of comfortable shoes so you don’t have to
walk around in heels all night, especially if they are not comfortable.
6. Practice walking and turning in your gown and train so you don’t trip
over it.
7. Get a good night's sleep the night before your wedding. Getting
plenty of rest will help alleviate a lot of stress and will make your
special day a lot more enjoyable.
8. On the morning of your wedding, pamper yourself. Have a massage and
relax. You will want to be fresh and alert so be sure that you eat a
nutritious breakfast on that day and that you drink plenty of water. If
you are having an afternoon or evening wedding, make sure you eat
something before putting on your dress for the ceremony. It may be a
long time before your next meal and you don't want to faint before all
your friends and family.
9. Have attendants arrive early to get dressed so there is no delay when
the wedding photographer arrives and no need to worry about making it
to the wedding on time.
10. Try to remain as calm as possible. Surround yourself with people
who will support you and keep you smiling. Stay away from people that
will cause you stress on the day of your wedding. Relax, enjoy and have
fun!
